Montipora capricornis is a plating stony coral also referred to as Leaf Plate coral and Vase coral. This coral has a dark reddish purple color with lighter purple/pink polyps and can grow in a variety of interesting plating growth forms. M. capricornis is one of the easier sps corals to keep and is capable of very rapid growth. It prefers moderate lighting and water flow.
